Why not show my PS3 to 120 Hz?

I just bought a new TV Full HD 120 Hz at Best Buy Black Friday. Ln46b640 is a Samsung. I bought a HDMI cable. While connected to my PS3, and also on television. After that, the PS3 does not appear in the corner of 60 Hz instead of 120 Hz television said. I was wondering if I made a mistake in buying a TV or HDMI cable, as it was 30 dollars and was one the least expensive. I love playing 120Hz, Is there something I can do? Thank you guys! =)

The HDMI cable is fine, do not change. Tailer The PS3 is the display settings for best performance the game you play, as shown at its best if you sample at 60 Hz is because they work better with the game you play, there is more to do with the game with the PS3 or the TV. For now, most games do not work 1080p not therefore run at 720p, but game developers make more games and more in Full HD at 60 fps and the PS3 will be able to play at their best:)
